ProEdge Operations LLC ("ProEdge," "we," "us") operates a field service management platform used by independent HVAC and plumbing contractors to run their businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and platform, and to the service-related communications contractors send to their customers through our platform.
Who this policy is for
Two groups interact with ProEdge, and this policy covers both.
Contractors are the businesses that license our platform to manage their operations. When a contractor signs up, we collect the information needed to provide the service.
Customers of contractors are the homeowners and businesses who request service from a contractor that uses ProEdge. If you scheduled service with a contractor and received a text or email about your appointment, that communication was sent by that contractor through our platform. We process your information on the contractor's behalf.
Information we collect
From contractors and their team members, we collect account and business information: name, business name, email address, phone number, business address, and the operational data the contractor enters to run their business (jobs, invoices, estimates, customer records, inventory, and similar records).
From customers of contractors, we collect the information the contractor provides or that you provide when you request service: your name, mobile phone number, email address, service address, and details about the service you requested. We collect this so the contractor can schedule, perform, and follow up on your service.
Automatically, when you use our website or platform, we collect standard technical information such as device and browser type, IP address, and usage activity, through cookies and similar technologies, to keep the service secure and working.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the platform, to enable contractors to communicate with their customers about scheduled service, to process payments, to secure the service and prevent abuse, to provide support, and to comply with legal obligations.
We use mobile phone numbers to send the service-related messages described in our Messaging Terms, only where consent was given. We do not use customer mobile numbers for our own marketing, and we do not sell them.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information.
We share information only as needed to run the service: with the contractor you engaged (for customer information), with service providers who process data on our behalf under contract (such as our hosting, messaging, and payment providers), and where required by law or to protect rights and safety. Our messaging provider processes phone numbers and message content solely to deliver messages.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties except the messaging provider that delivers the messages.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@proedgeops.com. If you are a customer of a contractor, you can also contact that contractor directly, and we will assist them in honoring your request.
You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting, and reporting obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption of sensitive credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any issue.
Children
The platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
